So I gave my first speech in my WRD 110 class. And I have to say it was nerve-racking. Looking back, I wished I had spoken more clearly and slowly. During my speech, I was rushing and to be honest, I could have taken my time. I knew I had less than a minute and a half but it felt like I only had thirty seconds. And that's probably how long my speech felt. What was so funny about this speech was that I had practiced it the day before and before I cut it short it was two minutes long. So clearly I was nervous giving this speech. The next speech I give, I will speak more clearly and slow down. And not take time into affect.
